Nelson Mandela

Racism which is the belief that some races of people are better than others. Racism was spread in south Africa during the period between 1948-1990. there was a guy who spends more than 20 years countering this system. This guy was nelson Mandela who is the first president of south Africa after the apartheid system . This essay will talk briefly about nelson Mandela biography.Nelson Mandela was born in Transkei, South Africa on July 18, 1918.He Nelson Mandela was born in Transkei, South Africa on July 18, 1918.He was a son of a tribe leader. Unlike his father nelson Mandela got a full education. He graduated with a law degree in 1948.while he was studying in the university he became aware of the problems that non white people in his country under the apartheid system. In 1943 he  joined the ANC – African National Congress - and actively take part in the struggle against apartheid. Because he was very actively in the ANC he was arrested in 1961. Nilsson Mandela staid in jail for more than 25 years. During this period his case got an international support . finally he became free at 1990 . in 1990 South Africa  was in civil war and Nilsson Mandela tried to stop this war by negotiation with the president of south Africa at that time .He became the president of democratic south Africa from 1994 to 1999. After his retirement in 1999 he moved to Qunu and established Nelson Mandela foundation to help poor people. Finally in 2013 Nelson Mandela Died because of pneumonia
